Next July, several Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire towns and villages will see the Olympic torch relay pass through, but unfortunately not Thame.

The flame will come closest to our town when it arrives at Aylesbury, but from there it will move to Bicester and then travel through Kidlington, Abingdon, Wallingford, Crowmarsh Gifford, Nettlebed and Henley.

The Oxfordshire Waste Partnership has produced a new recycling website which lists an A-Z of unwanted items and a guide to recycling and reusing in Oxfordshire.

The seven household waste centres across the county currently have a recycling rate of almost 60%, the partnership says. www.owp-reuseguide.co.uk
